Many students make the following mistake in English:

*He did the same like me.*

This mistake happens because in comparative sentences (sentences which compare two things), we often use the word like.

Here are some examples:

John looks like his father.
Alice dresses like a queen.
His music sounds like heavy metal.
He smells like a pig.
They play football like amateurs.

However, after the same, you must use as, not like:

Your hair looks the same as mine.
He studied the same subject as me at university.
She speaks the same language as me.
The students made the same mistakes as each other.
