Video: Describing recipes

In today’s post, I’m going to share a playlist of recipe videos. In these videos, fluent English speakers and native speakers are going to describe how to cook different Chinese and Indian dishes. These videos may be useful because in the IELTS Speaking test, it is possible that the examiner will ask you to describe a recipe.

Asian recipes

As you watch, pay attention to all the cooking verbs that the presenter uses such as slice, chop, stir-fry, add, shred, etc. Also, try to notice how he talks about quantities, for example a pinch of salt.
