In Part 2 of the IELTS Speaking test, you will get a cue card with bullets on it, and the examiner will ask you to speak continuously for 1-2 minutes. The cue card looks something like this:
It’s important to remember that you should use the bullet points to help you expand your answer or tell a story. If you treat them as simple questions to answer one after the other, you will not be able to speak for 1-2 minutes.
In this video, watch three sample answers. For each sample answer, you will hear two versions. In the first version, the candidate answers the bullet points. In the second version, she uses the bullet points to help tell a story or talk at length.
